Supporting the armed forces community in Telford & Wrekin

As part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, our team recently attended the ‘Models for Heroes’ event at Telford Fire Station, where Roger Cox and Adam Constable (army veteran) had the privilege of meeting local veterans and hearing their incredible stories.

We were delighted to donate Airfix Quickbuild models to the group, and it sounds like they went down well! Nichola Gristock, armed forces outreach worker at Telford & Wrekin Council, told us: “The members really enjoyed meeting you, and we’re incredibly grateful for your kind donation of the Airfix kits – thank you so much!”

Roger Cox said: “It was clear this group plays a significant part in improving the mental health and wellbeing of all the individuals involved, and we are glad to support them.”

A huge thank you to Cindy Mason-Morris and the team at Telford & Wrekin Council for showcasing the fantastic outreach events and activities available to the armed forces community. We look forward to continuing to play our part.
