Our people & values.

We invest in people, not just projects.

Our team is our strength. Many of our people have grown their careers with us, supported for the long term and kept safe on every site. Low turnover and decades of service tell their own story – this is a place where people build futures, not just buildings.

The values we build on.

Six values guide how we work, how we build and how we look after each other.

Excellence

We aim for excellence in everything we do. Our reputation is built on the quality of our work – exceeding expectations and delivering on our promises.

Open

We build relationships from the ground up. We keep things simple and transparent and we listen to everyone’s views and ideas.

Caring

Safety and wellbeing sit at the centre of every decision we make – individually and as a team.

Nurturing talent

We grow careers from within. Apprenticeships, training and clear progression routes help people develop and stay for the long term.

Loyalty

Loyalty and trust shape how we work – lasting relationships with clients, colleagues and suppliers alike.

Pride

We take pride in our workmanship. Every project is delivered with care, precision and genuine commitment to doing things well.

Giving back, together.

Our people don’t just build in their communities – they support them. Through the McPhillips Community Fund, our teams back grassroots projects across Shropshire and the wider Midlands with grants, volunteering and hands-on labour. We’re proud to support sports clubs, schools and community groups – the places that hold a community together.

The Community Fund

Looked after, on site and off.

Looking after our people means more than a fair day’s pay. We’re an accredited Real Living Wage employer and signatories to the Armed Forces Covenant. Our safety record – twenty-eight consecutive RoSPA Gold Awards – reflects a culture where everyone goes home safe.
