McPhillips bid a fond farewell to finance specialist Jacqui Davis last week, who has retired following 37 years of dedicated service.
Colleagues presented Purchase Invoice Clerk Jacqui with flowers and gifts, and managing director Paul Inions thanked her for her dedication to the company.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Jacqui for her lifetime of loyalty, hard work, and invaluable contributions to the company’s growth, and everyone here wishes her a happy and well-deserved retirement.”
Jacqui joined the company in March 1989, six months before the move from the original offices in Donnington to its current modern, purpose-built facility in Hortonwood.
During her almost four decades, Jacqui navigated many changes, not least the shift from manual bookkeeping and paper filing to advanced digital accounting.
She said it had been a good working life and that she’d made lots of friends along the way.
“The team here has always been wonderfully supportive and it’s been a great place to work. But the time was right, and I’m leaving with great memories of colleagues who I know will continue as friends.”
Following her retirement, Jacqui plans to keep busy by volunteering in her local community, doing more of the crafting she enjoys, and becoming a ‘lady who lunches’.
