New Fire & Rescue Training Centre

McPhillips has recently completed a design & build project to convert a former outdoor pursuits centre at Kingsbury Water Park near Sutton Coldfield into a new fire and rescue training centre for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The work has involved extending and recladding an existing building which was remodelled internally to create a new reception area, lecture room, training pods, offices, WCs, kitchen and breakout area.

Externally we have improved the highway access and on-site road and car park while also providing new drainage and increasing the volume of the mains water provision.

An area for vehicle rescue training has been created with crash barriers and car storage rack along with an underground concrete structure for confined space training. A new smoke house has been constructed and we also made alterations to the existing training tower.
