New Contracts

McPhillips has recently been awarded two new projects starting in July 2018.

The £10.5m redevelopment of the Dogs Trust Darlington Rehoming Centre will continue the longstanding relationship between Dogs Trust and McPhillips that began in 2010 with our redevelopment of Dogs Trust Shrewsbury and has seen us complete four other major rehoming centre projects in the intervening years.

Dogs Trust Darlington will receive a major overhaul with the construction of a new 2300m² rehoming building, two intake buildings, a special training and rehabilitation unit, vets centre, behavioural and training assessment unit, offices and maintenance building. In addition the staff facilities will be fully refurbished.

External works include earthworks, new district heating main, access road, footpaths, car parking, SUDS and landscaping.

The programme of works is anticipated to extend into 2020.

Also due to commence shortly is a £2.9m retail development on the A41 near Newport, Shropshire on a brown field site. This will see McPhillips undertake earthworks, drainage, new accesses under a S278 agreement from the A41 and Audley Avenue, car parking for over 75 cars, external works and foundations for a new drive thru restaurant and construction of over 1000m² of retail space across four units.
