McPhillips has been shortlisted in two categories at the 25th anniversary Shropshire Chamber Business Awards.
The Telford based construction firm is one of six finalists vying to be named Company of the Year, and up against a trio of former winners in the Champion of Champions category.
Company of the Year is the showpiece award for an all-round star performer, flying the flag for Shropshire business excellence.
Champion of Champions is a special award for the 25th anniversary, open to all previous Shropshire Company of the Year winners.
McPhillips Managing Director Paul Inions said: “Shropshire is in our DNA, so to be a finalist in not one but two categories at these awards – that celebrate the very best people and businesses in the county – is a real privilege.
“We are a Shropshire company employing Shropshire people: 92 per cent of our workforce live within 20 miles of our Telford headquarters.
“And our commitment to social value within the county took a significant step forward in 2024 with the launch of the £20,000 McPhillips Community Fund, to fund community projects tackling mental health challenges across the county.”
The annual Shropshire Chamber Business Awards, considered by many to be the premier event in the Shropshire business calendar, will hold this year’s Silver Jubilee awards night on June 20th at Telford International Centre.
Shropshire Chamber Chief Executive Ruth Ross said: “The awards serve as a magnificent tribute to the exceptional qualities of our local businesses.
“It is a celebration of business success, to acknowledge and honour our outstanding Shropshire-based businesses and the remarkable individuals within them.”
