Retail Park Handover

McPhillips has handed over the £3.95m Audley Avenue Retail Park at Newport, Shropshire which provides four new steel frame and cladded single storey retail unit shells with combined floor space of 1150m2.

Externally a new access was required directly from the A41 on a S278 agreement with Telford & Wrekin Council which included widening a 150m section of the existing carriageway in order to accommodate a new right turn lane, 2nr refuge islands and an access bell-mouth with visibility splay.

All utilities were brought onto site including telecoms, gas, electric and water.

New on-site drainage with Acoblock and up to 450mm diameter pipes was installed including 285m3 of surface water attenuation and fuel interceptor.

A 140m long access road and mini roundabout were constructed and surfacing included 58nr parking bays with McPhillips also laying 1100m2 of exterior block paving.

12nr new lighting columns, stainless steel bollards, tree pits and cycle stands were provided.

Access, parking, and groundworks were also undertaken for a new drive through fast-food restaurant on the site.
