The sod-cutting ceremony took place last week on McPhillips’ £5m new-build contract for an Emergency Services Hub between Kidderminster and Stourport. The project awarded by Hereford and Worcester Fire Authority is for a new facility on a brownfield site near to the Wyre Forest District Council offices on Stourport Road which will house a fire station along with ‘hot’ fire training facilities, a police presence and voluntary search & rescue service.
